INAUGURAL 1933 DIST. OF COLUMBIA

Embossed metal license plate from the Inauguration of Franklin D. Roosevelt, 1933. 6 x 10 1/2". A total of only 500 of these were made, and this is the first Inaugural license plate issued - the tradition of issuing license plates has continued in every succeeding Inauguration, with the exception of 1945. Extremely rare and in exceptional, excellent condition. Likely the finest example known.
