Cotton streamer with Presidential Seal - over 11 feet long

Cotton streamer with the Presidential Seal. This measures 35" wide and over 11 feet long and is in excellent condition with two original brass grommets at top for suspension. I wish we knew the history of this piece, but we do not. Suffice to say this must have been used at a significant Presidential address or gathering. We do know that this dates to no later than the FDR administration. In 1945, President Truman authorized a standard version of the Seal in which the eagle faces the olive branch. This example shows the eagle facing the arrows.
