One-cent postal card promoting Helen Gahagan Douglas for U.S. Senator (California), 1950. 3 1/4 x 5 1/2". Postally used and in excellent condition. From the contentious senatorial campaign in which Richard Nixon claimed Douglas was a communist, and Douglas coined the nickname "Tricky Dick", a moniker which would follow Nixon his entire political career.
