HENRY CLAY YOUNG MEN'S WHIG NATIONAL CONVENTION May 2d 1844

SKU 05869B
Silk ribbon from THE YOUNG MEN'S WHIG NATIONAL CONVENTION OF RATIFICATION held in Baltimore May 2, 1844, promoting Henry Clay for president. Large 3 1/2 x 9". There's a 2" horizontal split just above Clay's portrait which has been repaired with archival tape on the back, and a 1" vertical split which extends from the top of the ribbon to between the L and A in CLAY. Both detract minimally from the displayability of this impressive ribbon.
