Badge promoting Horace Boies for president (Democratic hopeful), 1896. 2 x 3 1/2". In excellent condition but missing the original ribbon. Boise's portrait below an eagle is suspended from a silvered brass IOWA badge. The gold/silver wash exemplifies Boise's support of a silver standard / bimetallism and this scarce badge was most likely worn by an Iowa Delegate to the Democratic National Convention in Chicago.
