Ribbon-badge worn by a member of the UNION REPUBLICAN CLUB in Philadelphia at the 1896 Republican National Convention in St. Louis, which nominated William McKinley for president and Garrett Hobart for vice president. brocade lettering on silk with American and City of Philadelphia rippled flags attached, and a die-cut sterling silver Pennsylvania keystone badge at top. The back has some glue residue, as this was likely removed from a scrapbook, but this displays as near mint from the front. Large, showy, and rare, this measures 3 5/8 x 12". An impressive display piece.
