Sheet music hailing President George Washington, c. 1790's. 9 1/2 x 12 3/4". Exceptionally rare, especially considered this was produced during Washington's presidency. Condition, however, is poor. There's a 5 1/2" tear that extends from the right center edge through Washington's chest, overall aging, and a 2 x 3" area of paper loss near the bottom left corner (not affecting any text or graphics). There's a notation at the top that this was given as a gift in 1830, but be assured this rare sheet music is from the time of Washington's presidency and dates from 1789-1797.
