Booklet written by Josiah Quincy, 1830. 5 1/2 x 9", 68 pages. In generally excellent condition with typical, but faint, foxing. What's most interesting about this is that it was hand-signed and presented to the "Hon Daniel Webster with the respects of Josiah Quincy". Quincy was a member of Congress from 1805-1813, Mayor of Boston from 1823-1828, and President of Harvard University from 1829-1845 (when this booklet was published).
