Shipping Policy

We charge a flat $3.95 per order to the U.S. and Canada, regardless of the size, weight or complexity of your order. This includes all packaging, handling, and insurance costs. Our goal is to never, ever, subject our customers to surcharges or artificially high shipping costs. All orders are carefully packaged by us at our facility.

We do ship to foreign countries, and cost will be determined on an individual basis (you will only be charged our actual shipping cost).

In general:

Packages under 13 ounces will be shipped by USPS first class mail.
Packages over 13 ounces that fit in any USPS priority box or USPS priority flat rate box will be shipped as such.
Packages larger than any large USPS priority box will typically be shipped by FedEx ground (so please give us a physical address, not a P.O. Box, for larger packages).
Packages with a value of under $200 will be shipped with delivery confirmation.
Packages with a value of $200 - $2,000 will be shipped via the US Postal Service or FedEx with signature confirmation.
Packages with a value in excess of $2,000 will typically be shipped via FedEx ground with signature confirmation.
We do NOT ship UPS.

In most cases, reference books and similar items that qualify as media mail will be sent as such and will be noted in the description of those items. Please allow a few extra days for delivery.

Because of the excellent service provided by the USPS (usually delivery within 1-3 business days) and FedEx ground (delivery within 1-6 business days), we do not offer overnight shipping except by special request and with our consent.

Orders received before 2 PM, Monday-Friday, Pacific Standard Time, will almost always be shipped same day. Orders received Saturday, Sunday, or after 2 PM Monday through Friday PST will be shipped next business day.
