Description
Pistol memorializing Presidents Abraham Lincoln and James Garfield, 1881. About 7" long and appears to be in excellent condition, although we're anything but gun experts. Produced by the Shattuck Company in Hatfield, Massachusetts, shortly after Garfield's death. A bust of Lincoln is on one side of the gutta percha grip, a bust of Garfield on the other. A macabre recognition of the two martyred Presidents, both of whom were killed by pistols, and our choice for the most inappropriate political item ever made.
