JOE and I For WILLKIE

Pinback button promoting Wendell Willkie for president, 1940. Rare and desirable 1 1/4" real photo cello with St. Louis Button Co. backpaper. There's an ink smudge on the button paper (under the celluloid) which occurred during the printing, otherwise excellent condition. Heavyweight champion Joe Louis was an ardent Willkie supporter, and this is one of the rarest varieties of a handful of different pinbacks which mention Willkie and Louis.
