Wooden cigar box hailing John Mitchell, labor leader and President of the United Mine Workers from 1898-1908. 2 3/4 x 5 1/4 x 9 1/4". In excellent condition. The outer lid and embossed inner label both feature a portrait of Mitchell. The paper label has a 1902 copyright. A terrific tribute to one of America's great labor leaders made while Mitchell was UMW President. Quite rare.
