Pinback button Louis "Louie" Lefkowitz for Mayor of New York City, 1961. It took some serious research to nail down the story on this button. We ran across a newspaper article from September 23, 1961, describing a breakfast meeting for Republican candidates in New York City. Ike attended, wearing this button, and Lefkowitz reciprocated by wearing an old I LIKE IKE button, and both posed for a photograph.
