Pinback button promoting Lurleen Wallace for governor (Alabama), 1966. George Wallace had served as Alabama's governor but was prohibited by Alabama law from serving consecutive terms - so he ran his wife, Lurleen, who was elected. These range in size from just under 1" to 2 1/4" diameter, and all appear to be in excellent condition. The bulk of these are from the 1968 campaign when Wallace ran as the presidential candidate of the American Independent Party. There are a handful of pins from the 1964-1972-1976 campaigns, when Wallace ran in the presidential primaries as a Democratic hopeful. Learn More
