Lidded sewing box promoting Andrew Jackson for president, circa 1828. 2 x 3 3/4 x 5". This fragile and desirable box is complete and intact. The hand-colored paper label under the glass has a diagonal tear which extends from the top through the W in ANDREW. There is a light horizontal crease in the paper which extends from Jackson's right cheek to the right edge, and a small area of paper loss from the eagle to beyond the left of the leaves.
