Description

Vinyl tablecloth featuring, in the center, a black man breaking the chains of slavery surrounded by African-American soldiers, citizens, students, sports figures, and entertainers. Includes images of Harriet Tubman, Abraham Lincoln, Sojourner Truth, Booker T. Washington, Frederick Douglass, and others, and depicts scenes of the passage of the 15th Amendment, the Dred Scott Decision, Emancipation Proclamation, and more. Likely made shortly after World War II or perhaps into the 1950s, as the black boxer appears to be Joe Louis. If this were later, you'd expect to see images of Martin Luther King and Muhammad Ali. In excellent condition, this measures 4 1/2 x 6' and appears to be in unused, excellent condition.
