Terrific brass mantel clock promoting William McKinley for president, 1896. 2 x 9 x 15". Light scattered surface rubbins. The wind-up clock doesn't work, which is almost always the case. Paper dial features a faux U.S. gold coin with the inscription SOUND MONEY 1896 / ROBERT JOHNS MFR. CHICAGO. An outstanding and desirable display piece from the 1896 campaign not to be confused with the less desirable McKinley memorial clocks.
