Postcard disparaging the Republican Party (and Theodore Roosevelt), c. 1908. Unusual and in excellent condition, "Published by Homes & Smith, Columbia, S.C.". Depicts a "G.O.P." elephant chained to a post marked PUBIC OPINION / REPUBLICAN RECORD, with the following inscriptions on the chain: EMPTY DINNER PAIL / PANIC / IDLE LABOR / EXTRAVAGANCE HARD TIMES.
