Paper poster from the Spanish American War era advertising the McCormick harvester, circa 1898. Great scene of a farmer (and his daughter) welcoming home his son from the war, with a horse-drawn harvester in the background. 19 x27". There is some staining. most noticeable along the bottom edge, and this appears to have been trimmed perhaps up to 1/2" along all four sides. Large albumen photograph of an artist's or architect's rendition of the Lincoln Monument in Springfield, Illinois, 1871. The monument would be competed three years later, in 1874, and would serve as the final resting place of Abraham Lincoln, Mary Todd Lincoln, and three of their four sons.
